Martha Ministry

Following a Funeral Mass, the family and all who have participated in the liturgy are invited to the Parish Center for brunch. The Martha Ministry performs this unique and much appreciated service to parish families, at both St. Mary’s and Epiphany, who celebrate the funeral of a loved one. Tables are set, food is served, and all leftovers are sent home with the family. Volunteers from the parish provide the food without cost to the family.

If you would like to join this Ministry, call the office at (315) 524-2611 or email at ostmarys.dor.org

Prayer Ministry is the parish's response when people ask for prayers for a specific intention.  A group of volunteers has committed to pray for one of these intentions over a designated period of time.  We welcome your request.  Intentions can be submitted to our prayer ministry by calling the parish office at (315) 524-2611.

Individuals who want to be part of the prayer ministry can volunteer by calling the parish office at or by email at ostmarys.dor.org.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Prayer Shawl Ministry provides an opportunity to combine compassion and the love of knitting/crocheting into a prayerful ministry that allows parishioners to reach out to those in need of comfort and solace.  Please join us in this very meaningful and enjoyable ministry whether you knit, crochet, quilt or weave. Join us for prayer and fellowship as we create shawls for those who need comfort after a loss or during an illness.  Donations of completed shawls and yarn are always accepted.

Visit the Shawl Ministry Website at www.shawlministry.com to learn about the history and inspiration for this heart-lifting ministry.

Shawls are available in the St. Mary’s Church Office if you have a loved one
who would welcome this thoughtful gift.  Please stop by during office hours.

If you would like to join this Ministry, call the parish office at (315) 524-2611 or or email ostmarys@dor.org.

Vision

We pledge to strive constantly to build an ever stronger parish family in which:

-  The word of God is proclaimed, celebrated and integrated into daily living

-  We witness the Gospel through our actions of caring and concern for the needs of those around us

-  We are committed to working through social ministry against oppression and injustice

-  We empower all members of the parish community to take ownership in the life of the parish
